These wood slices were cut from three trees that had fallen during a storm in La Grange, Texas.
This order includes ten (10) mesquite wood slices/cookies. Each slice measures approximately 4.5" to 5.5" in diameter and ½" in thickness. The slices have been air-dried and are ready for use. No finish or oil was applied.
Note the gorgeous variations in heartwood colors form rich beige to dark chocolate. We believe that mesquite wood rivals in beauty similar woods such as black walnut. All woods can crack. Mesquite is very stable and is unlikely to crack further.
